Service Description

Join us for this brand new program! Designed for families of all types, those who are new to the woods and those who are seasoned adventurers. We will explore trails, between 1.5-3 miles (group dependent), local to Littleton, NH with a focus on having an enjoyable experience in the woods. Each of the 4 sessions will take place from 9:00-1:00 (approx.) on the 3rd Saturday of the month. Priced at only $80 per family this program is well worth the price! See all the included fun below. As part of the program, families will learn games to keep children moving while on the trail, be encouraged to observe and wonder about the nature all around them, learn some of the natural features we see along the way such as plants or animal tracks, and be given time to document what they see using a nature journal, art supplies, and/or camera. We will make time to stop for snacks and lunch along the way, and communicate clearly with one another about pace, trail etiquette, layering, and bathroom needs to ensure everyone has an experience that meets their family's needs. Also included for adults are discussions and resources based on participant interest and need, but could include: - Making nature adventures a more regular part of your family life. - What exactly do you need in your backpack? - Preparing a successful outdoor trip of any length with even your youngest children. - Including your children in the preparation and execution of outdoor adventures. - Supporting your child's growing independence outside while still keeping them "safe". - Managing your expectations. - Transitioning from "good" weather experiences to all weather experiences. All family members are expected to follow the guidelines of the group regarding safety and behavior. However, we recognize that all people sometimes have bad days or challenging phases. Growing Home will offer additional support to families using Positive Discipline strategies, including clear expectations, natural consequences, and respectful adult/child interactions when needed.

Cancellation Policy

To cancel your booking for a Growing Home service please contact us at least 4 days before the start of your booking so that we can allow another family to take your place. Thank you for being considerate of others.
